Six skippers turned out on a beautiful and very warm day with their DF65’s. The wind was primarily from the SW and fluctuated from around 2mph to 6/7mph. The wind direction made it impossible to have a decent start line, so we started the first race between buoys 7 & 8 round 4 back to 7 and finished between 4 and 5. This gave us virtually no beat, we then changed the course to a start between 7 & 8, starboard round 6 and then 4, port round 7 and 9 and finish between 5 and 6, this worked well for two races. The wind then turned around and we used a start line from the bank and 6, a good beat to 9, back to 6 and finish between 8 and 9. This course held for the rest of the day. Dave Sellens left around mid-day and our newest member, Bill Still, joined from race two using the dragon A sail and showed that he had a lot of promise.
