Dragon Force 65 Sunday Free Sailing took place on Sunday 19th February on what was a bright but cloudy day, with s good breeze. However, it was primarily from the west, over the Fort and so the course was a windward/leeward at the Northern end of the lake which meant the wind was WNW but very swirling. As such, this created quite a few problems for all skippers from time to time, and it was a case of who was able to read the wind best gained the advantage.
Both Geoff Appleton and Buzz Coleman left early and Buzz missed the first two races which accounts for their finishing positions. Steve Bines had a good day, with a second and a couple of thirds, probably his best day. George Patten is showing some promise but still struggles at times, especially with the flukey wind, but just needs to persevere.
Next Sunday, 26th February 2017 is Round 5 of the Frozen Feet for Dragon Flite 95 boats
