Sunday 6th November saw 6 intrepid skippers face a very cold North/North West wind at force two to zero, with it becoming colder as the day went on.
It was a windward/leeward course starting between mark 10 and the bank; down to mark 8; then down to an un-numbered mark, twice and then finish across the start line.
Geoff Appleton had the best of the first four races, but then Malcolm Schaffer moved up a gear to take the last five races. Dave Bland was always in close contention, showing improvement all the time. On the day, Malcolm Schaffer was the winner with 9 points, followed by Geoff Appleton on 10 points and Dave Bland third on 20 points.
We welcomed George Patten, our most recent member again, who hopefully benefited from some useful tuition. An enjoyable day despite the prevailing cold conditions.
