Sunday DF65 Racing

Sunday 9th October 2016 was a partly cloudy day with a strong wind primarily from the NNE, leading to a triangle and sausage course. Whilst this was maintained throughout the day, there were some minor changes to various marks.

We welcomed Glenn Meekcoms and Howard Dalton from Southend who together with John Lambert and John Newton had some very close racing at the front. John Newton spent some time helping our new member George Patten set his new boat up, and speaking to a couple of new prospective members and so was allocated a few average race positions. However, at the end of the day, John Lambert with greater consistency, was the overall winner on 21 points, followed by Glenn Meekcoms on 30 points and Howard Dalton third on 39 points.
