Sunday 17th April was a glorious day with a relatively strong breeze at times primarily from the NW. However, it caused some difficulties when the strength dropped and when it backed more to WNW and then back to NW again. The course was a triangle and a sausage at the north end of the lake.
There was some close racing at times between John Newton, Malcolm Schaffer and John Lambert, but at the end of the day John Newton was the overall winner on 8 points, followed by Malcolm Schaffer on 18 points and John Lambert one point further back on 19 points.
There was an interesting interlude as a break from racing was taken when a either newly married couple or about to get married wanted to have some photos taken with the group and took an interest in the boats and the racing.
