Sunday 10th April was a sunny day with a chilly strong breeze, initially from the SE but backing to ESE and eventually E. Whilst most skippers started on No.1 sails, Ian Kemp had to use a borrowed No.2 set, which by the end of the day were probably the set to use, although everybody kept their No. 1 sails on. The course was two triangles with a starboard rounding, in the middle of the lake with some minor changes regards the windward mark and finish.
There was some close racing both at the front between John Lambert and John Newton with Dave Bland and Ian Kemp in the middle order, and Steven Bines making a significant improvement after sixth race. Chris Theodorou was late to the party and left early and was carrying an injury sustained whilst skiing, but put in some good performances.
The overall winner on the day was John Newton with 14 points followed by John Lambert on 20 points and Dave Bland third on 44 points.
