Whilst there were initially 10 skippers prepared to race DF65 boats a number of skippers had some problems. Steve Bines had a winch problem which he was able to resolve with a new winch, followed by Ian Kemp, who also had a winch issue but was unable to correct it. Mid way through John Lambert appear to have a transmitter problem and so he retired.
It was a sunny day with a good SE wind backing to SSE at times and so the course was a triangle with a wing mark, and a sausage in the middle of the lake.
Buzz Coleman was on form and won every race apart from the final one when he mad an unusual mistake. As such Buzz was the overall winner with 8 points followed by John newton on 16 points and Geoff Appleton third on 24 points.
