Numb Thumbs IOM Winter Series

The fifth and final round of the Numb Thumbs IOM Winter Series took place on Sunday 20th March 2016 and what was an overcast but reasonably warm day. The wind was primarily ENE veering to the E on occasions and initially was a strong breeze but fading as the day went on.

The course started off in the middle of the lake and was a windward/leeward course with the finish line the same as the start line. However, eventually with the wind change, the course was moved to the south end of the lake but remaining as a windward/leeward course.

Apart from one race, which Geoff Appleton won, Colin Goodman was able to take the lead although most races were close at times. As such, Colin Goodman was the winner on the day with 13 points, followed by Graham Bartholomew on 32 points and Geoff Appleton third on 34 points.

As this was the final round of the Numb Thumbs IOM Winter Series, this leaves Colin Goodman on 4 points, followed by Graham Bartholomew on 12 points and John newton third on 15 points.
